About Bhutan Travels
Bhutan-Travels is a non-commercial contact for
- information about Bhutan - assistance for travellers - to help the people of Bhutan keeping their jobs
We provide assistance and information free of charge to travellers, which want to explore the country individually and on their own, not squeezed into an unknown, diversified group with conflicting interests and travelling in a ghetto.
We support therefore single travellers as well as already familiarised small parties with similar interest.
Our aim is to provide guidance and local personal contacts to interested parties for better knowledge and their best satisfaction throughout the whole trip.
We make tour proposals, which can be altered or adapted according to preferences. At the same time we are supporting the people working in and for tourism in Bhutan to keep their jobs and get proper training. Bhutanese are very honest, proud of their tradition but mostly very poor and depending on income from jobs.
We do not collect or request any money from clients, we act as a helping mediator to promote excellent service and customer satisfaction.
Prices quoted on our website are neither made nor altered by us, they constitute the m i n i m u m (daily) tarif, which any tour operator in Bhutan is requested to quote by the DOT (Department of Tourism of Bhutanese Government). These prices are encompassing everything from lodging, transportation, all meals, personal guide and driver, entrance fees etc. Of course every tour operator can quote prices above that level.
Payment for tours and other services has to be made via bank transfer directly to the DOT by quoting the name of the tour operator. After deducting their percentage, the DOT will forward the remaining allocation to the tour operator to cover the cost for all arrangements of the tour. All transfers therefore are safe and can easily retraced via the DOT.
